Who I Am
A visual artist and designer based in Hobart, Tasmania,
I specialise in illustration and design for print and web.
Servicing small to medium businesses and the arts community,
my aim is to align your practice with the current market, through the integration of new technology and contemporary aesthetics, while maintaining a sustainable and environmentally sensitive outlook.
I collaborate and work closely with other designers, developers, and industry professionals to achieve the most effective and lasting outcome for any size project.
Appropriate and effective design is imperative to communicating your business to the outside world, and in many cases can determine the success of your practice. I believe that every business, and every instance of visual communication within that business, need to be considered independently, with their own set of unique aesthetics; audiences; messages; and functions.
I work closely with each client to map out exactly who, what, when, and where they are intending to communicate before even moving onto the visual interpretation process of these ideas. Once these ideas are firm, I create something which will endure the test of time, and maintain its effectiveness well into the future.

Rope International
Rope International is the collaborative design collective of Dominic Whittle (Hobart), Lachlan Bullock (Sweden), and David Fooks (Hobart).
We have been good friends and design collaborators since our days studying design at the University of Tasmania’s School of Art.
We each have our own unique visual approach to design, and our own set of individual skills, but as a collective we share the same passion for design and the same ethos towards effective and appropriate visual communication.
Together we can work on the larger scale projects, while putting our heads together on smaller collaborative projects to create something unique to our combined abilities, or just as support on our individual projects.
